Asia to get its first biofuel production facility

AlgaeTec Limited an advanced algae to biofuels company has announced it has signed a collaboration contract to build its first algae biofuels production facilities in Asia. The facility is to be built in Sri Lanka working with Holcim Lanka Ltd a cement and building materials company. Holcim Lanka was attracted to the AlgaeTec solution as a way of reducing its carbon footprint by channeling waste carbon dioxide into the algae growth system, and generating valuable biofuel at below market cost.
